Who Am I?

A Wife

With a supportive husband, I wouldn't be able to do what I do.  My husband Nathan and I have been together and happily married for over 20. We travel together, manage the business together, and try to make life an adventure together. We have been lucky enough to turn our passions into a business and help others in the process. Certified

Pro Fitness Athlete, B.Sc., M.Sc., M.A. (Coun. Psych. & Holistic Nutrition), N.D (Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine U.S.A), Sports Performance Coach, Personal Training Specialist, Group Fitness Specialist, Certified Spin, Pilates & Barre Instructor

Naturopathic Medicine & Holistic Nutrition

In partnership with my Bachelor of Science from the University Of Toronto, I successfully completed a four year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree in the United States, and a Masters In Holistic Nutrition, Natural Health Sciences.

As a long time fitness professional and trainer, I discovered a gap in the fitness industry when it came to the long term success of clients in the gym. The gap that I am referring to is the direct relationship between physiology and psychology-what the mind is thinking, experiencing and feeling, will have a direct impact on the results you are getting from your workouts and nutritionTherefore, I chose to integrate my passion, medical science skills, and experience into the fitness industry to coach women to achieve the best long-lasting results, both physically and emotionally.

Eating Psychology

Why I use eating psychology as a fitness coach? And what is this new field of Eating Psychology?

I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology and many years of clinical experience specializing in Gender, Youth/ Parent Counselling, Anxiety, Chronic Pain/ Rehab, Life-Work Balance and Eating Psychology. My clinical background is in Psychology, stems from combining (CBT) Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Modification, (SFBT) Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Eating Psychology: is a field of psychology based on 30 plus years of research and development on how human areas “eaters.”

Eating Psychology is a powerful and positive approach to use with fitness clients in transforming their relationship with food, their eating challenges, addressing chronic dieting in fitness, binge-restrict cycles, body image issues, and overall health concerns.

With the strategies and tools used in eating psychology, clients see results due to a heightened awareness of what is actually going in their lives..

It recognizes that eating challenges are closely related to relationships in a client’s life,  past experiences, money, jobs, career, and overall feelings of productivity.

Challenges with food are recognized as  “being human” rather than “being broken.”

Eating psychology works with fitness clients because we all have a unique eating story that has been driven by our beliefs, past experiences, and relationships with food.

Eating Psychology is very effective because it proves provides tools for lasting change and addresses any false moods associated with nutritional deficiencies.
